Upcoming Events August 30 will be a big day here at St. Stephen’s. Branches Band will join us for worship. Our new teachers will be installed. We will also have our joint picnic with Good Shepherd at Lakeview Park. We look forward to this being a joyous day for all involved. If anyone would like to serve on the planning committee, please speak with Pastor Dorn (920-631-7028) soon. We also are keeping a close eye on all the developments with COVID-19. If the picnic needs to be canceled, we will know by the first week of August. Watch for further announcements!
Church Council Actions from June Meeting
Received by transfer from Zion, Cambria, Lori Rupnow.
Released David & Tammy Langendorf and children Alexis & Jordan.
Voters’ Meeting for Quarter 2 – Cancelled. A written report of congregation activity will be disseminated.
Property Maintenance Report – Ramp roof has been totally replaced; ceiling and wall repair will begin in July. “New” ceilings being installed in lower level classrooms over the next few weeks.
Worship Plans – Recognizing the inconveniences of the current schedule for worship and the “assigning” of times we evaluated how it has worked and also current health safety recommendations. As much as we would like to “loosen” a little, based on attendance patterns so far it seems wise to maintain the current plan through the summer, though we will look at it again at our July meeting. Thank you for patience and your love and concern for brothers and sisters in Christ and their health and peace of mind.

- We will offer the Sacrament of Holy Communion in each service, giving everyone the opportunity to partake
- People will be ushered up on the lectern side first, then the pulpit side, so that we have only one line.
- We will serve by continuous distribution to help with distancing.
- Those who do not wish to commune or are not comfortable communing at this time will be free not to do so, with absolutely no stigma.
- Those who are distributing the Sacrament will clean their hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer immediately before distribution.
- Communicants will receive the wafer in an open palm.
- The common cup will not be used for a time.
Individual cups will be spaced out in the trays
