Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!

  • Please let us know you worshiped with us by signing our guest book in the entryway or a Care Card in your pew and drop it in the offering basket.
  • If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.
  • Introduce yourself to a Pastor, and worship with us again!

Holy Communion will be offered today in all services. You may register by card at any time. We ask all guests to please speak with a pastor before communing.

               Gospel Outreach Opportunities This Summer

Be a greeter in the WELS Info Booth at the Dodge County Fair!

The fair runs August 14-18 this year.  Spend a couple hours at the booth with fellow believers to greet passers-by and to share Christian literature and information about our area WELS churches. You don’t have to be a doctor of theology, just a smiling believer who can say, “Jesus takes my sins away and will take me to heaven someday!” A schedule/sign-up sheet is on the entryway table, along with a “tip sheet” for volunteers in case you have questions.

Summer Bible Class Schedule

July 14th                         Psalm 46         August 4th        Psalm 103

July 21st             Friends of China         August 11th      Psalm 110

July 28th                         Psalm 51         August 18th      Psalm 139

Open Gym Opportunities at St. Stephen’s there will once again be an open gym this summer for all 3rd -8th graders in the congregation/school. It is held every Tuesday evening from 5:30-7:00 from June 18th-August 6th. This week the focus will be on basketball.   July 23rd, the focus will be on volleyball.  We hope you can join us this summer!

Prayer Service A service focused on sharing and bringing concerns to the Lord in prayer will be held on Friday, May 17th at 1:30pm. The service will also include a short Scripture reading and devotion. The ramp and elevator entrances will be open.

Ice Cream Social The Alpha Resource Center will be holding their annual ice cream social on Sunday, July 21, at St. Mark’s Church in Watertown.  The event runs from 10am to 1pm.  Please call 261-9207 if you would like to volunteer or if you have any questions about the event.

Teacher Call Extended Pastor Vanderhoof at Good Shepherd has accepted a divine call to serve as Pastor at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls.  His wife, Tiffany, has served as our Lutheran School 1st grade teacher, and is therefore resigning, effective July 15.  Our Board of Education at its July 9 meeting extended a one year call to Mrs. Kim Brace (our former / retired 1st grade teacher) to teach 1st grade for the 2019-2020 school year.  Calling for a permanent 1st grade teacher (to start in the 2020-2021 year) will begin this fall.  We thank Mrs. Vanderhoof for her faithful service to Jesus and to our School the last 3 years.  Please pray for Jesus’ blessings on her and Pastor V in the ministry in Menomonee Falls, and upon Mrs. Brace in this coming school year.

WELS Wind Ensemble will be performing this summer at the following locations:

  • Thursday, July 18 –7 pm
    Arlington City Park
  • Sunday, August 11 -4 pm
Swan Park Band Shell, Beaver Dam
includes a hot dog supper and dessert (bad weather-Good Shepherd Lutheran)

Vacation Bible School Our Vacation Bible School is right around the corner. We will open our doors to tell the good news of Jesus to children from age 3-6th grade on July 29-August 2, from 9:00 AM-11:30 AM. We need volunteers to help with this event. We need leaders to take groups of students around to classes, help with donating snacks, and most importantly spreading the word. On the table in the back are various sign-up sheets and promotional materials. Invite your neighbors and friends to come and learn about Jesus through song, story, crafts, and other activities.
