Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!

  • Please let us know you worshiped with us by signing our guest book in the entryway or a Care Card in your pew and drop it in the offering basket.
  • If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.
  • Introduce yourself to a Pastor, and worship with us again!

Holy Communion will be offered today in all services. You may register by card at any time. We ask all guests to please speak with a pastor before communing.

Baptism  Remmic James Roeder, son of Kurt and Chelli (Wuesthoff) Roeder, born May 30, 2019, will be baptized today in the 9:30 service.

               Gospel Outreach Opportunities This Summer

Be a greeter in the WELS Info Booth at the Dodge County Fair!

The fair runs August 14-18 this year.  Spend a couple hours at the booth with fellow believers to greet passers-by and to share Christian literature and information about our area WELS churches. You don’t have to be a doctor of theology, just a smiling believer who can say, “Jesus takes my sins away and will take me to heaven someday!” A schedule/sign-up sheet is on the entryway table, along with a “tip sheet” for volunteers in case you have questions.

Summer Bible Class Schedule

July 28th                         Psalm 51         August 4th        Psalm 103

August 11th                  Psalm 110         August 18th      Psalm 139

Open Gym Opportunities at St. Stephen’s there will once again be an open gym this summer for all 3rd -8th graders in the congregation/school. It is held every Tuesday evening from 5:30-7:00 from June 18th-August 6th. This week the focus will be on basketball.   July 30th, the focus will be on volleyball.  We hope you can join us this summer!

Volleyball Camp: Girls entering grades 4th-8th are invited to attend our volleyball camp, free of charge, to help you prepare for the upcoming volleyball season. The camp will run August 12th-16th during the following times:

4th-6th graders 5:30PM-7:00PM

Helping Hands-Our 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Erin Krebs and family, have been blessed with the opportunity to buy a home here in Beaver Dam and they are looking for some help moving.  If you are able to help on July 31 at 2 pm, please meet at 155 S Wisconsin St. in Lowell.  Any questions, give Erin or Mike a call at 920-319-2002.

WELS Wind Ensemble will be performing one last time this summer at the following location:

  • Sunday, August 11 -4 pm
Swan Park Band Shell, Beaver Dam
includes a hot dog supper and dessert
    (bad weather-Good Shepherd Lutheran)

Unified Budget Due to the concern that this concept perhaps hadn’t been well enough explained to the entire membership, the meeting was “recessed” to be reconvened, Sunday, August 4 at 10:45 A.M., at which time a vote on the proposal will take place.  Printed information on the unified budget concept is being made available.  Please ask questions of our Church Council members if you have them, and share your thoughts with them.  Voting members, please attend!

Holy Land Tour   You are invited to join a 10 day tour of the Holy Land, April 28 – May 7, 2020.  Many places of the Bible will “come alive” for you, such as Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, and the Sea of Galilee.  Tour host will be retired Pastor Eugene Kock, who has visited Israel over 20 times. For information, contact him at [email protected].

First Friday Communion: Our brief communion service for those who can “get out” but for whom being at a full service is difficult will be Friday, August 2rd  at 1:30pm. in the church.  Please use the ramp or elevator entrance.

Vacation Bible School Our Vacation Bible School starts Monday!  We will open our doors to tell the good news of Jesus to children from age 3-6th grade on July 29-August 2, from 9:00 AM-11:30 AM. We need volunteers to help with this event. We need leaders to take groups of students around to classes, help with donating snacks, and most importantly spreading the word. On the table in the back are various sign-up sheets and promotional materials. Invite your neighbors and friends to come and learn about Jesus through song, story, crafts, and other activities.
