  • Please let us know you worshiped with us by signing our guest book in the entryway or a “Care Card” in your pew and drop it in the offering basket.
  • If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.

Voters’ Meeting Recap: Last week we held our quarterly voters’ meeting. Following are highlights from that meeting:

  • For the 1st quarter of 2018 our income has been $198,361.35 and our expenses $238,289.52. This gives us a deficit of $39,928.17. It is important that we are mindful of the gifts God has given to us, as we give a portion cheerfully back to him.
  • We have given $40,711.77 for missions. Lakeside has received $10,142.09.
  • We still owe about $147,000 on the window project.
  • Our membership stands at 2,119.
  • The pastors are taking some people through adult instruction. A new round of adult classes will start June 11. If you know of anyone who wants to join or has questions about our faith, please pass their name and number along to a pastor.
  • The major item of business was to call a new principal and upper grade departmentalized teacher. We have called Mr. Anthony Perry, who currently serves as principal and 7th-8th grade teacher at Salem Lutheran School in Owosso, MI. Please keep Mr. Perry, his wife Pamela, and their five children (ages 21, 18, 14, 12, 10) in your prayers as they deliberate where God wants them to serve in his Kingdom. The school board is also making a contingency plan for next year in case Mr. Perry decides to return the call.

Ascension Service will be held Thursday, May 10th at 6:30pm.  This special service will include the choirs, families, and friends from both St. Stephen’s and Good Shepherd.

Address and Phone Number Changes If your address changes in any way or if you changed to a cell phone please fill out a “Care Card” in the pew and place it in the offering basket or E-mail us at [email protected] with corrections.
