Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!

  • Please let us know you worshiped with us by signing our guest book in the entryway or a Care Card in your pew and drop it in the offering basket.
  • If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.
  • Introduce yourself to a Pastor, and worship with us again!

Holy Communion will be offered today in all services. You may register by card at any time or register in person in the sacristy. We ask all guests to please speak with a pastor before communing.  We now have gluten free wafers for those with wheat allergies.  Please speak to a pastor if you need one.

Proposed Bylaw Change  The Voters Assembly at the January Annual Meeting instructed the Board of District Elders and Church  Council to prepare an amendment to our Bylaws that states that District Elder Area Chairmen be elected from and by the Board of District Elders, rather than being elected by the Congregation in its regular elections.  The proposed amendment follows:

Proposed that St. Stephen’s Bylaws Article VII, Section 1 be amended as follows:

  1. The Board of District Elders shall consist of six (6) members,

one of whom has been elected to the Church Council, and by

election within the Church Council shall serve as the Chairman of the Board of District Elders.  The other five (5) members shall be Area Chairmen elected by the District Elders from among the District Elders appointed by the Church Council.  Additional District Elders shall be appointed as needed by the Church Council.

This proposed amendment will be voted on at the December 9 Voters’ Meeting. Also on Voters’ Meeting agenda is a proposal to remove the communion rail and to have an appropriately sized Communion table (to be donated).
