  • If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.

Fall Festival Thank You The Evangelism committee would like to thank all who participated and donated to our Fall Festival this year. The Lord truly blessed our day, by not only providing us with beautiful weather, but also by bringing in over 400 people, including nearly 50 unchurched people, to our event. We are looking forward to holding the event again next year. If anyone has suggestions or noticed anything we could improve upon please speak to either Pastor Dorn or Josh Schmidt.

St. Stephen’s OWLS will meet for their final meeting and program of the year on Tuesday, November. 12th.  A potluck dinner will be held at 12 noon in the church basement.  The program for the day will be a narrative of Anna Plocher, who was the wife of Johannes Plocher, the first missionary to the Apache people in the 1890’s. Her story will give a glimpse into some of the trials and triumphs of sharing the gospel with people of another culture as they worked to establish a firm foundation for a mission endeavor that has continued for over 125 years. Anna’s daybook, John’s reports to the Mission Board, and family stories create this first person narrative.  All members of St. Stephen’s are welcome to join in this interesting program.    We look forward to having you join us.

8th Grade Washington DC Trip Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction will be held Sunday, November 17th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in the church basement.  The freewill offering received will help the 8th grade class offset the cost of their trip to Washington D.C. Please join us for a great meal, great fellowship and great cause!  Many silent auction items will also be available.  Come join the fun and support our 8th graders!  Take-out meals will also be available.

Personal Finance Workshop Opportunity On Saturday, November 16th at 9:30 a.m., Mr. James Price, a former WELS Pastor now working in personal finance, will conduct a “mini- workshop” on personal finance.  His presentation will be about 45 minutes with time following for questions.  He will also be available afterward to generally answer more personal questions/situations, though he cannot give precise advice and planning in this setting.  The “workshop” is open to all.  It will be held in the church basement.

Advent by Candlelight 2019  We are looking for table hostesses for the Advent by Candlelight program, which will be held Sunday, Dec. 8th.  Table hostesses decorate a table and serve dessert and coffee to their guests before the program begins.  Hostesses are a very special part of the program as they help prepare the hearts of their guests for the Advent season.  Join us in hosting the ladies of our congregation and your friends and relatives for another wonderful program.  There are sign-up sheets at both church entrances.
