Sunday worship will be streamed on Facebook ( and YouTube. Go to and click on “YouTube” and select Worship, Devotions or Bible Study.

Bible Information Classes Our pastors will begin another Bible Information Class at either 11:30 A.M. or 7:30 PM. This class is designed for those new to the faith, an opportunity to learn more about the teachings of the Bible. If you know of someone, or would like a refresher course, please come to this class. If these times do not work for you, please speak to one of the pastors. We are flexible in the times we meet. We simply want to share the good news of Jesus with all!

Golf Outing An opportunity to enjoy a game of golf with members of St. John’s and Good Shepherd will be held on Sunday, October 4th at Horicon Hills Golf Club.  A 4 person scramble with check-in starting at noon.  More details and sign up sheet can be located on the table in back of church or call the office at 920-885-3309.  Signup by September 26th to ensure a spot.  Money raised will be sent to support Amazing Grace Lutheran Church of Roscoe, IL.

Sunday School St. Stephen’s Sunday School will be done virtually this year. Due to the situation with COVID-19 and need for precautions, we will be doing Sunday School differently this year. Materials will still be provided at church. Families will pick up the lessons every week. They will also have a link to a video that will go through the lesson. Even though it is different, it will give families the opportunity to grow in their faith together! If you have questions, please speak with Pastor Dorn. Look for materials starting Sunday, September 13.

Bible Study Opportunity coming soon!  September 14 and 16 will begin our fall Bible study schedule in person in the church basement. We will resume our study of the Gospel of John with chapter 7. Right now we will not able to make use of streaming video options, but the class will be recorded and put on YouTube after noon on Wednesdays. To be part of our “live studio audience,” join us Mondays at 7:00pm and Wednesdays at 11:00am. Pastor Stratman has already begun revisiting the first six chapters of John. The video Bible Class is available on Facebook and YouTube for those who want to review, or for those who haven’t attended and want to catch up and join the study in person or online.

Mission Festival Our annual Mission Festival will still be observed this year, though it will be different.  In our three year “rotation” of mission themes, this year we focus on “training workers for the Mission”.  Professor Mark Schroeder of Luther Preparatory School will be our guest preacher, encouraging our support through prayers, encouragement to young people, and financially for training another generation of Pastors and Teachers who will be involved full-time in Jesus’ mission of making disciples.   Due to the current situation, there will not be a potluck meal nor a special presentation.  Do come for worship, though, for information and encouragement for training more “missionaries”.

School News

School Presentation The P.T.S will be hosting an informative assembly on September 16 at 6:30pm about bullying presented by Sarah Reik, a professional counselor from WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions. It is called “Standing up to Bullying” and will be presented to all the students during the school day with a parent presentation during the evening. Parents of school age children please plan to attend. We would love to see you there.
