LWMS Door Offering will be collected at the door this week.  These offerings support special WELS mission projects chosen annually by our LWMS Beaver Dam Circuit.  The Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society Fall Rally will be held on Saturday, October 20th, at St. Paul, Manchester.  Registration is at 9:45 am and the day will conclude at 2:30pm.

Bible Studies

  • Men’s Sunday Night will be this Sunday at 6:30 pm in meeting room above church office.
  • Women’s Bible Study Group meets on Wednesday nights at 6pm. Copies of the study are available in the church entry and at study time.
  • Monday/Wednesday Bible Study meets on Monday’s at 7pm and Wednesday mornings at 11am. The topic is “Lord, Teach Us to Pray”.

Be A Better Witness 2 hour TiLM presentation today at 12:15 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran led by John Sebald, Director of Mission Advancement for TiLM.

Mission Festival will be next Sunday, October 7th starting with a potluck meal which will begin at noon.  Please bring a dish to pass. Place settings and beverage will be provided.  This year the mission festival will focus on home missions, especially on mission work to the mentally challenged. Our speaker will be Rev. Joel Gaertner, serves as Vice President of Ministry and National Director of Jesus Cares Ministries, providing Bible study and worship opportunities to the mentally challenged.

Ladies Aid meeting will be held this Thursday, October 4th at 1:30pm in the church basement.  We welcome new members!  Consider this a personal invitation to join us at one of our monthly meetings. Enjoy a 30-minute bible study by one of our pastors, a business meeting followed by fellowship and a light snack

Lutheran Explorers will kick off their year this Tuesday, October 2, at 6:00 PM, in the church basement. All kids from preschool through 6th grade can come! Please enter by the church office (entrance S1) and come to the basement.

Culver’s Shares Night for School  Culver’s of  Beaver Dam will be sponsoring a Culver’s Shares Night for St. Stephen’s Lutheran School.  Students, faculty, & parents will be working at Culver’s from
5:00-8:00 pm on October 1st.  What does this mean for you?  Treat yourself to a dinner at Culver’s on October 1st and know that by doing so a percentage of your sale will go to benefit St. Stephen’s Lutheran School.  We will be applying the donation we receive towards tuition assistance and science/technology.
Spread the word that Monday, October 1st, 5-8 pm would be a great time and day to have dinner at Culver’s.  Thank you.

8th Grade Washington DC Trip Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction will be held Sunday, October 14th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in the church basement.  The freewill offering received will help the 8th grade class offset the cost of their trip to Washington D.C. Please join us for a great meal, great fellowship and great cause!  Many silent auction items will also be available.  Come join the fun and support our 8th graders!  Take-out meals will also be available.

First Friday Communion: Our brief communion service for those who can “get out” but for whom being at a full service is difficult will be Friday, October 5th, at 1:30pm. in the church. Please use the ramp or elevator entrance.

Health Ministry Our congregation health ministry team will be available to provide blood pressure and diabetes screening, as well as other health literature next Sunday from 8:30–10:30am. in the church basement.
