Welcome Visitors If you are visiting today, we welcome you in our Risen and Living Savior, Jesus!

  • Please let us know you worshiped with us by signing our guest book in the entryway or a Care Card in your pew and drop it in the offering basket.
  • If visiting, please don’t feel obligated to give an offering. St. Stephen’s members express thankfulness to God through their voluntary offerings which then support the congregation’s work.
  • Introduce yourself to a Pastor, and worship with us again!

Holy Communion will be offered today in all services. You may register by card at any time or register in person in the sacristy. We ask all guests to please speak with a pastor before communing.

Bible Studies

  • Men’s Sunday Night resumes this Sunday at 6:30 pm in meeting room above church office.
  • Women’s Bible Study Group meets on Wednesday nights at 6pm. Copies of the study are available in the church entry and at study time.

Sunday School Begins today, Sunday, September 9th, at 9:00 am. There is no special registration, please simply bring your child to the school a few minutes before 9:00 am.  The expectation is that all children who do not attend our Christian Day School to be enrolled in Sunday School.  We also have class for preschoolers who will be 4 years old by September 1st.

St. Stephen’s OWLS will hold their September meeting on Tuesday, September 11th beginning with a potluck meal at noon in the church basement.  A special presentation will follow at 1 pm by a guest speaker from our WELS Seminary in Mequon.  This seminary student is from Ukraine so his topic will discuss Ukraine ministry. What a special opportunity for us to hear about a foreign ministry.  Anyone from our congregation is welcome to join us for this time of fellowship and interesting program.

Catechism / Confirmation Classes Begin

  • 7th & 8th Grade Public School Catechism classes will be conducted together with Good Shepherd. They meet Wednesdays only 3:30-4:45pm. Classes began Wednesday, September 5.
  • 6th Grade Public School Catechism classes will begin September 12 at 3:30pm.

Annual Ushers’ Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 12th, at 6:30pm in the church proper.  We will review the ushering duties, emergency procedures, and anything else that involves our ushers. If any of our confirmed men are interested in serving the Lord in this special way, please contact the head of our ushering program, Del Winning, at 887-1411.

Bible Information Class will be offered beginning this Thursday, September 13.  It is offered at 11:00 a.m. and at 7:30 p.m.  If you, or someone you know is interested in this class that can lead to membership at St. Stephen’s or can just be a good review of Bible teaching, let a Pastor know or just show up!

Handbells The handbell choir will resume on Wednesday, September 12th and is in need of a few new members.  Practices are on Wednesday nights at 7:15pm in the church balcony.  We play in church once a month, at Advent by Candlelight, and occasionally for other functions and special services.  Experience with handbells is not needed.  Please call Ranee Welch and leave a message if you are interested or have any questions at 887-1624

Be A Better Witness We often struggle with where and how to witness.  Truth in Love Ministry has a solution.  Pastor Mark Cares has 35 years of experience witnessing to Mormons, and has developed a distinctive, biblical approach to address the unique challenges – and opportunities – of witnessing to Mormons.   We consistently find that when Christians train with TiLM, they inevitably find greater courage and confidence in sharing their faith with ANYONE.   Find out more by attending a 2 hour TiLM presentation on Sunday, September 30 at 12:15 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran led by John Sebald, Director of Mission Advancement for TiLM.  A pizza lunch will be served at 11:45.  If you desire to take part in lunch, please sign up in the entryway.
